Saturday October 17th
Each morning begins with a freshly prepared, chef-crafted breakfast by Maureen, inspired by the season and local ingredients.
After breakfast, we’ll begin the day with a short Qi Gong stretch and gentle movement practice to get us ready for the day.
A private Sprinter van will pick us up and take us to Pleasant Valley Wildlife Sanctuary for our first hike with professional hiking guide Jeff from Tie Dye Guides. Pleasant Valley is a breathtaking 1,400-acre sanctuary filled with forests, wetlands, streams, mountain views, wildlife, and active beaver habitats. Along the hike, we’ll pause somewhere beautiful for 10–15 minutes of Qi Gong immersed in nature. Our hike will be gentle to moderate in difficulty, approximately 2 hours long, and paced comfortably.
After the hike, we’ll have lunch at Once Upon a Table, a beloved hidden gem tucked away in “The Mews,” a small pedestrian alley just off Main Street in Stockbridge. The restaurant has an intimate Berkshire feel and offers a creative seasonal farm-to-table menu built around fresh local ingredients from nearby farms and small producers.
In the afternoon, our van will take us to Bash Bish Falls, considered one of the most beautiful natural landmarks in Massachusetts. This very easy and accessible nature walk leads to a breathtaking 60-foot waterfall surrounded by forest and mountain scenery. The area is also considered culturally significant to the Mohican and Schaghticoke people.
Saturday night dinner will be at The Station Gastropub, a chef-driven gastropub set inside a beautifully restored historic train station, known for its creative seasonal menu, local ingredients, and warm Berkshires charm.
Evening firepit
Sunday October 18th
Sunday morning we’ll enjoy another gourmet breakfast prepared by Maureen, followed by a slow morning with coffee, downtime, conversation, and time around the firepit before checkout.
At 11:00 AM, we’ll head to Olivia's Overlook, where professional hiking guide Jeff from Tie Dye Guides will lead us on a moderate hike along the scenic Burbank Trail. During the hike, we’ll pause somewhere quiet and beautiful for 10–15 minutes of Qi Gong.
After the hike, we’ll return to Brook Farm Inn for a special private farewell lunch prepared for us by Maureen.
As our final stop on the way home, we’ll visit High Lawn Farm, a historic Berkshires dairy farm known for its homemade ice cream, farm store, cheeses, baked goods, and local specialties. We’ll enjoy homemade ice cream together (included), with time to explore the farm store before heading home Sunday afternoon.
Retreat Pricing, Deposit & Details
Retreat cost: $2,099 per person
A $700 deposit is required to reserve your spot. Because this is a very small and intimate retreat with only 12 private rooms available, early registration is strongly encouraged.
Brook Farm Inn is holding the property for our group for a limited time, and we will need to confirm the retreat within 2 weeks of opening registration. Once the retreat reaches the minimum number of deposits, the trip is officially on.
A minimum of 12 participants is needed for the retreat to happen. If the retreat does not reach the minimum number of deposits within 2 weeks of opening registration, all deposits will be refunded minus processing fees.
Once the retreat reaches 12 confirmed deposits, all deposits become non-refundable and will be applied toward your remaining retreat balance.
Remaining balance:
• $1,399 due August 1, 2026
Because retreat spaces, lodging, transportation, restaurant reservations, and guides are booked and reserved specifically for our group, all payments are non-refundable once the retreat is confirmed.
Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is strongly recommended. Life happens. Illness, injury, family emergencies, weather issues, or unexpected schedule changes can come up. Travel insurance helps protect your trip costs in the event that you need to cancel unexpectedly. It’s relatively inexpensive and offers peace of mind.
Activity Level
This retreat includes gentle to moderate hiking and nature walks. While nothing is designed to be strenuous or overly difficult, participants should feel comfortable walking on uneven terrain, forest paths, and moderate inclines for extended periods of time.
What’s Not Included
• Alcoholic beverages
• Transportation to and from the Berkshires
• Optional personal purchases or shopping

I’m truly looking forward to experiencing this together, soaking in the energy of autumn in a beautiful place and immersing ourselves in nature, good food, and community.
